Mixed Equipment
There are only really three pieces of equipment specific to mixed lacrosse: a stick, a ball and a gumshield.
Gumshields are compulsory when playing a match and can be found in any good sports shop, it's a good idea to pick one up before getting to a match and finding out you're not allowed to play.
Lacrosse sticks and balls are a little harder to find in the wider world as lacrosse is such a niche sport, with most sticks to be found online coming from America. However, the club has bought a large number at bargain prices which we're able to sell on to you, so you won't have far to look.
Sticks and balls are always available for you to use at training and games, however, we strongly encourage you to get one for yourself so that you can practice away from training and you'll pick up the skills you need much faster.
We're offering two types of brand new stick this year which you can find out more about below. Both are available in a variety of colours, come down to training and pick out the one you want.

The Debeer Response is a mid-price stick that performs excellently for its cost. With an accurate throw and a cushioned catch, it claims to boast the following features:
- large ball area to improve ball retention
- canted top rail to help control the ball when learning to catch
- straight bottom rail for the perfect pocket formation

Adidas Versa

The Adidas Versa is a good beginners stick and although we feel it can't outdo the DeBeer Response, hence how we've managed to hammer down the price, it is still suitably adequate at a low price. It claims to offer the following features:
- perfect for the developing player
- Adidas Mid-Set design
- widened sidewalls for easy catching
- reliable adidas sidewalls for easy catching
- flared scoop for better groundballs
