Sheffield University Lacrosse Club isn't just about playing lacrosse. The Club is committed to fundraising each year as well as engaging with a range of local and national initiatives. For the 2016/17 season the club decided to continue supporting CLIC Sargent. CLIC Sargent are a cancer charity that provide support to young people suffering with cancer and their families. They provide a specialist package of support tailored to each young cancer patient and family right from diagnosis. CLIC Sargent fights tirelessly for children and young people with cancer, often when they feel they can't. They do this individually, locally and nationally, so that the young people people can focus on the important things, like getting well. CLIC Sargent also, in worst case scenarios, works with bereaved families to get them support, to help them cope with their emotional pain.

Whilst the success of the moustaches was debatable, what wasn't was the fact they raised £332 and raised much needed awareness about men's health in the process.
